The WalkingPad C2 and Z1 are the same idea from the same maker: a walking pad that folds in half at a center hinge so it fits under a bed, then opens to a belt long enough for a full stride. The newer Z1 matches or beats the C2 on almost every published number and costs less. The C2's case rests on FootSense speed control, its colors, and a longer track record with reviewers.

The motor row needs a caution. WalkingPad's C2 product page says 3 HP, but the C2 manual lists 735 W of input power, roughly 1 HP, and Amazon says 2 HP. Neither pad is a jogger, so for walking at 1 to 4 mph the motor figure matters less than the weight rating and belt.

BEST VALUE FOLDING PAD
WalkingPad Z1 Foldable Walking Pad
The WalkingPad Z1 is the compact member of WalkingPad's fold-in-half line. Open, it gives a 47.6 by 15.7 inch walking area on a 4.1 inch tall deck; folded, it measures 31.8 by 22 by 5.4 inches, small enough for a closet floor or under a bed. WalkingPad rates it to 242 lb at 1 to 4 mph, with a 2.25 HP brushless motor (the Amazon listing says 2 HP) and remote or app speed control. There is no incline. At 51 lb it is lighter than the C2 and costs less.
Best for: Apartment walkers who need the pad to fold away after every session but still want a long deck for a natural stride.
- Folds in half to 31.8 by 22 inches, yet opens to a 47.6 inch walking area for a full stride
- 4.1 inches tall and 51 lb, the slimmest folding pad Kit covers
- No incline, a 4 mph ceiling, and a standard 15.7 inch belt width

Buy on AmazonThe Z1 does everything the C2 does with less weight to haul and more weight it can carry. The 4.1 inch open height is the lowest of any folding pad we cover, which helps on standing desks with a limited range, and the 242 lb rating gives a bit more headroom. It costs less on Amazon as well.
What you give up is FootSense and color choice. Owners on Amazon also report belt drift, mixed noise, and a few belts that tore within a week, which is why we suggest registering the warranty right away. The full WalkingPad Z1 review covers owner feedback in detail.

BEST WITH FOOTSENSE
WalkingPad C2 Foldable Walking Pad Treadmill
The C2 folds 180 degrees down the middle to a 33-inch length and 5-inch height, making it the only widely-available walking pad that fits a standard closet or car trunk. At 55 lbs with built-in transport wheels, it is genuinely portable, and the KS Fit app adds step goals and remote speed control.
Best for: Small-space and apartment users who need a walking pad that genuinely disappears into a closet or under a sofa when not in use.
- Folds to 33 inches long and 5 inches tall, the only compact walker that fits a standard closet or apartment storage
- 55 lbs with transport wheels: easy to move between rooms or take to a second location
- 220 lb weight limit is the lowest in this comparison, and owners near that limit report reduced belt stability

Buy on AmazonThe C2's FootSense mode speeds the belt up when you step toward the front and slows it when you drift back, so you change pace without the remote. It comes in white, black, blue, red, and yellow, and it is the slightly narrower pad when folded. Wired names it the best foldable walking pad in its July 2026 guide.
The costs are a 220 lb limit, a few more pounds, and a higher deck. WalkingPad's manual also says to store it folded and lying flat, never on its end or side. Read the WalkingPad C2 review before you choose it over the Z1.
What about the WalkingPad P1?
The P1 is the third fold-in-half WalkingPad we cover. It has the widest belt of the three at 16.5 inches and FootSense, but it uses a brush motor, weighs 62 lb, and is rated to 220 lb. If belt width matters more to you than weight, read the WalkingPad P1 review.
All three are ranked against non-folding pads in our best walking pads guide, and our walking pad fit checker tells you whether either belt suits your stride and desk.

Frequently asked questions
Is the WalkingPad Z1 better than the C2?
On published specs, yes for most buyers. The Z1 is rated for 22 lb more, weighs less, sits lower, has a slightly longer belt, and costs less. The C2 is better only if you want FootSense or a specific color.
Which folds smaller, the C2 or the Z1?
They are nearly the same. The Z1 folds to 31.8 by 22 by 5.4 inches and the C2 to 32.5 by 20.4 by 5.4 inches, so the Z1 is shorter and the C2 is narrower. Both slide under most beds.
Do the WalkingPad C2 and Z1 have incline?
No. Both are flat walking pads running at 1 to 4 mph. For incline, look at the UREVO CyberPad or MERACH W50, which have motorized grades.
Can you store the WalkingPad C2 or Z1 upright?
WalkingPad's C2 manual prohibits vertical and lateral placement, so store the C2 folded and lying flat. WalkingPad's Z1 page shows it folded under a bed or sofa; we found no upright-storage allowance for it, so store it flat as well.
Which is quieter, the C2 or the Z1?
WalkingPad publishes no decibel figure for either. Amazon's review summaries describe mixed noise reports for both pads, so expect them to be similar; lubrication and belt centering matter more over time.
