How Travelon's system works

The Classic uses a five-point approach: locking zipper hardware, mesh reinforcement in the body, cables in the strap, an anchorable strap, and RFID-blocking organization. The mechanisms are visible and fairly easy to understand.

Pacsafe divides its system into named components. eXomesh reinforces body panels. Carrysafe Dyneema material reinforces straps. TurnNLock and PopNLock hardware control strap connection points. Dock Lock, Zip Clip, and Roobar systems add zipper friction. RFIDsafe material surrounds designated pockets.

The names vary by product, so do not assume every Pacsafe includes every component. The GO Crossbody, GO Lunar, and V Tech each use a different combination. Pacsafe's advantage is integrating this hardware into more contemporary shapes and more size choices.

The pattern: Travelon gives you the most no-lock quick access (a ticket pocket and two magnetic flap pockets) while keeping the valuables behind clips. Pacsafe GO gives you one quick pocket. The Lunar and the Vibe 325 have no unlocked quick access at all, which is the price of their cleaner shapes.

Try the opening motion several times before departure. Decide which items require frequent access. Put a transit card or tissue in a controlled quick pocket and keep the passport and primary wallet behind the strongest closure.

Materials and sustainability

Pacsafe publishes more detailed current material specifications for the GO and V Tech range, including recycled-polyester deniers, PFC-free finishes, water-resistance ratings, and the number of recycled bottles associated with some bags. Travelon emphasizes its mechanical five-point security system.

Those facts may matter to a buyer, but neither replaces fit, comfort, or capacity. A recycled shell that remains unused because the bag is too small is not the better purchase.

Price and value

The Travelon Classic normally costs less than Pacsafe's 10 L sling while carrying more than either 2.5 L GO. The GO Lunar can undercut the standard GO depending on color and current stock.
