What the extra money buys
The CorTec grip is the main upgrade. Cork does not make a pole safer or lighter, but it changes the feel during long climbs and warm days. LEKI combines the cork content with softer material around the grip, so this is not a raw cork handle that will crumble after a wet weekend.
The warranty is the second distinction. It covers shaft breakage, not every basket, tip, strap, or cosmetic issue. Still, shafts are the expensive structural part, and explicit lifetime coverage is more valuable than vague durability language.

LEKI describes CorTec as a grip containing 80% natural cork combined with softer supporting material. It provides a cork contact surface without being a solid cork block.
What is the difference between Legacy Lite sizes?
The standard current model adjusts from 100 to 135 cm and packs to 66 cm. The shorter model adjusts from 90 to 125 cm and packs to 64 cm. The shorter version also weighs 240 g per pole instead of 251 g.
Does LEKI's lifetime warranty cover the whole pole?
LEKI advertises a lifetime warranty on shaft breakage. That should not be read as lifetime coverage for normal wear on straps, tips, baskets, or every lock component.
