Who it is for

Trtl fits the traveler who treats every liter of a personal item as planned space. The manufacturer lists the Original at 8.7 by 9.5 by 3.6 inches and 4.7 oz. It does not need to be inflated, and the included water-resistant bag has a carabiner for external carry.

Its support is directional. Place the internal curve beneath the side of the jaw and wrap the fabric around the neck to hold it there. Window sleepers can put the support toward the window. A traveler who wants to rest toward the aisle can reverse it.

Why the architecture works

The head needs a load path, not simply softness. Trtl's internal piece transfers weight from the jaw and side of the head into the wrapped fabric and shoulder area. That creates more resistance than a scarf and far less rear bulk than a U-shaped foam pillow.
