The Tomorrow River State Trail travels 29 miles on a former railroad corridor through glacial terrain and farm country in central Wisconsin, from Plover in Portage County northeast to just outside Manawa in Waupaca County. The trail passes through the small communities of Amherst Junction, Scandinavia, and Ogdensburg, offering a peaceful rural experience away from busier Wisconsin rail-trails. At its western end in Plover, the trail connects to the Green Circle State Trail at Hoover Road, extending riding options. Trailheads with horse-trailer parking are at Twin Towers Road in Plover, Amherst Junction, Cate Park in Amherst, and near the Highway 49 overpass in Scandinavia. A Wisconsin State Trail Pass is required for cyclists and equestrians age 16 and older.

Getting there

The western trailhead is off Twin Towers Road in Plover, near Stevens Point (about 2 hours north of Madison). The eastern trailhead is outside Manawa in Waupaca County.
